75K maintenance

75K maintenance
Hi,
What is included in the list of things that needs to be done for the 75K maintenance on a 98 Max SE?... I am thinking about just doing it myself... would like a site with details/pics if possible.
I'll probably dig up my chilton's as well.
Thanks for any help,
Amit

Maintenance at 75K is the same as at 15K and 45K. Look for that. Essentially all you have to do if the 60K work has been done is change the oil & filter, rotate the tires, inspect the transmission fluid, and inspect every other thing under the sun.
When was the last time the radiator was flushed?
Have you ever flushed the power steering?
Have you had work done on the brakes?
Is it an automatic or standard? A/T service been done? If standard, transaxle fluid replaced?
PCV valve?
Throttle body/IACV ever been cleaned"
Fuel injectors ever been cleaned/additive used?
Etc. etc.

Thanks for the info...
I had the 60K done at the dealership and let them do everything suggesting included T-flush. It's auto, and I don't remember anything out of the ordinary being needed.
So does anybody have any links for DIY or a list at least of what all to inspect?
Thanks.

Since were on the subject of service.... anyone had their timing chain replaced? My brother-in-law asked me about it and I told him I'd get back to him. Also, anyone had a auto tranny flush at 100k before and how did it work out? Thanks for the info!!!

I have a coworker that commutes from York, Maine to Boston, Massachusetts every day for work.
She just traded in a 2002 Toyota that had 239K miles on the clock.

Just kidding, with the 4th gen, I thought there was really only 60k due to spark plugs, and newer cars are 100k. But I know a guy in the office who's gone 144k without ever taking his GXE to the Nissan dealer, and he says his hwy gas mileage is over 25. So I wonder if the car really needs all these services. Common sense would dictate the brake fluid, coolant, and engine oil must be replaced at some point. Air filter too. But what else?? Perhaps nothing. Just a way to make money at the dealership.
That's why with European cars all the maintenance is free--there really isn't any on a modern car. Even auto trannies are filled with synth and permanently sealed. But people and their money are easily parted, there's still that mentality lurking around that you need deep pockets to drive a German car or be friends with a mechanic. And you shouldn't go swimming right after eating dinner and you can go blind if you..........
