Hey guys I know there are so many threads about red/clears for 95-96 Maximas but what I was wondering is where the hell can I find Vans red taillight paint that matches the inner tails because I have a set of all clear out tails for my 96 Maxima and I am going to paint the outer ones to match but no auto store around my house knows what the hell I am talking about. It would be great if people who worked in an auto store actually KNEW something about AUTOS!!! So if anyone could help me out and let me know ASAP where I could pick up a can of the taillight paint. Thanks guys.

 

Testor's Candy Apple Red paint. Should be able to find it at AutoZone, Walmart, or any arts and crafts store.

And how did you get all clear lights? I want some...

 

A fellow org member sold them to me...got the entire set including inners for $110 shipped. Alright I already tried Advanced Auto and Autozone today, might as well try Walmart now. Thanks man.

 

i think i paid around 150 for my all clears, they've got the paint at walmart, just remember to be easy when u break em apart and everything will go smoothly, when you paint them though, try to get all the glue off the edges that slide into the backing of the tail light, doesnt seem like it would make a diference when u paint them but when you put them back together it does

and be easy i work in auto parts lol since i was 14, but your right no one i work with knows anything

I just got back from Walmart and picked up two cans of Testors. Does anybody have a write up or an easy way of taking the plastic off the lights??

Does anyone know how that candy apple red paint will work in painting the amber lenses on a 95? Does putting the translucent red over the amber give it a funky color?

 

damn guys where do you find them for so cheap? i need some cause my stock tails are all cracked.

anyone who opened their all clears up to paint them, did you remove that upper (blinker) clear portion in there? the clear insert...

no it wont look right on your car casue you have the 97-99 front end conversion done IMO.
