Trunk won't open...

It was working fine earlier today, but when i went to open it, it doesn't want to open. You can hear the click, but that's about it. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what did you do to fix it. Thanks in advance.

theres a valet feature for the trunk lock. the latch on the car, that catches the pin on the trunk, can be pushed down so it will not release the trunk lid. make sure its on the up, and not the down postion.

It's pretty easy to knock the trunk latch through the seatback with a broom handle and pop it open in that case. I saw a little writeup on that somewhere. At any rate the latch is super easy to open from inside the trunk.

In this case you'd have to take out the back seat and crawl thru since the seats dont fold down, to get to that switch.

heres a stupid question.... is your problem that the latch wont release? or that the trunk physically wont "pop" up.. have you tried having someone hit the button while you pull up on it??

Yeah, I accidentally hit that little lever one day cleaning my car and went to pop the trunk, and heard ( clunk, clunk ) and no open! My key wouldn't even work!! So I folded down the rear armrest and with a flashlight and a long umbrella, reached through and flipped that lever back up! PITA!! And from now on, when cleaning my car, I KEEP THE HELL AWAY FROM THAT FCKIN LEVER!!!

It physically won't "pop up". When i look through the back seat arm rest, i can see the lever move and you can hear the latch open, but it won't open.
