Rewiring Clearance Lights

Is there anyway i can rewire my clearance lights so i can use them for signal lights? I looked through the stickies thinking i had seen the HOW TO b4, but i couldn't find anything. Any help would b greatly appreciated.

one way i did it without any splicing was to take the actual 1156 bulb from the blinker and plug it into the clearance part. then I put the 1157 socket from the clearance and put it in the bumper, where the blinker originally was. I liked it, but then i went on to differnet variations. of course you would have to file off some of the nubs on the 1157 socket to fit the bumper's 1156 hole. vica versa. just jam it in there and put some tape around it to keep water out.

Thanks a lot guys. Sounds like a pretty easy thing to do. I guess that my clearance lights won't stay on if i do this?

you clearance lights will be your blinkers and your bumper lights will just be lit all the time. it'll be nice. I had it for about 2 weeks. My current setup is with the bright all the time clearance light, rewiring the bumper lense to stay lit all the time with a 1157 bulb and having the sidemarker to blink alternately with the blinker.
