Sitting in traffic after school and this girl in a brand new sebring flew up behind me and wacked the Sh** out of my from behind...The maxi took a pretty good shot in the rear but the hole force went onto the tailpipe...my tailpipe went into her licence plate and into her grille...SO time to get this peice fixed..i got under neathe and the hole pipe is crimped as it goes over the back suspension...The force went somewhere and im gettin alot of rattle from the front of the engine when i engage the clutch and start to move...the hole thing makes noice when i start it and IM gonna cry > > > im bringing it into body shop to get estimate today and im gonna have him look at this cat and everything cause it was a shot

But i do get a new back bumper and the irony is i was in the bady shop 2 months ago and the guy said to wiat for someone to rearend you before you get the bumber fixed cause it looked crappy before too

that sucks...

insurance should take care of it though, right?

When i got into a little accident in December, insurance paid for the damage from the accident plus I got some scratches and dents taken out (previously had them, not from the accident).

insurance will cover everything (her insurance) cause she even said she wasnt payin any attention...

Im really not in the mood for a y-pipe and if my cat is shot i may just got a stock cat..but i was thinking about gettin a good cat back...hear's what im thinking..

- 2000 se muffler for looks and prob insurance will cover cause there priced almost the same

- or pitch my own little money in and get an Apexi ??

What do you think...

Actually

The Stock muffler from Nissan would probably cost more than the Apex'i WS. I'd go with the aftermarket. I'm told the intermediate pipe is more restrictive than the muffler itself so the Apex'i will replace the intermediate pipe and the muffler. While you're at it I'd change out the y-pipe too. I just bought one and think it's great. Besides, if you replace it with say a Stillen or Cattman and it doesn't fit properly, you know you cars messed up more than you thought. I doubt a rear-ending would screw up your entire exhaust system, but the y-pipe has a flex joint that might have been mangled or crushed a tad.

Re: Actually

well she cracked me pretty hard and i dont know where all the force went when she hit ... the pipe may have went into the cat but if it didnt then ill stay with the cat and maybe get an apexi ws... if everything is f*cked up then ill go with stock headers, stock cat, and apexi ?? let me get the estimate first and see whats up ... im gonna have the guy look at it really carefully... look at EVERYTHING...thanks

From Behind

I don't know how other states are but here in NJ I know what happens when you get hit from behind...its all the other persons fault...no matter what...its the law...so maybe that kind of thing applies to you if she starts making excuses to get out of it

PS-rereading my post i realized how perverted it sounds...but i'll leave it anyway

Just a warning

Sorry to hear about you Max! Be careful of the parts that they put on. I got hit in the front and the insurance would only pay for aftermarket parts (to keep down costs). Said I did not have a say and that they are of the same or better quality. BS it was horrable and they had to replace the bumper with Nissan stock parts after I *****ed enough. All straight now. Best of luck!
