Talk about a small world? I have a friend in Krasnodar, her telephone number is 7-8612-xxxxxx!! But she said she cannot get a visa to move to the USA permanently nor can her friends.

Out of curiosity, how can a person leave Russia? I have heard an urban legend on how, but since I am not really in close touch with the Russian community I wonder if it is true? It is very strange, all the things I hear about Russia. It seems to have gone the complete opposite direction of China, who seems to be ever increasing as a super power.

It's not that strange, I once asked one of my best friends why he was signing the gym sheet (municipal gym) as Sergei--it was because he loved the Wings and Federov.

Corruption does not really go hand-in-hand with prosperity, though it seems some countries get away with it....

Oh, Chernovtsy here...

What the girl told me is that if you are Eastern Orthodox it is very difficult to leave Russia because the govt. does not want you to leave. Also, she said the USA is afraid that women entering the country will immediately become pregnant and not return, i.e. no visas. But it is very easy for whatever reason to go to Western Europe and obtain a visa.

Anyway, I find the Russian culture to be different than ours so I find it interesting and like it!
