backfire!?!?

backfire!?!?

What does it mean when your car backfires? Its only done it a couple times, should i be concerned?

Yes you should be. For some reason its running extremely rich. Is it backfiring out the back (exhaust) or in the intake?

out the exhaust, and it only does it from 1st to 2nd when i shift at a high rpm.

Going from a light, I bounced off of the limiter a tad in 1st and my friend behind me said he saw a little flame from my muffler. I don't think it should hurt anything.
