Magnaflow with stock or aftermarket b pipe?

I need your guys help here. I am going to go and get a Magnaflow muffler (14289) this coming weekend. I don't know if i should get a b-pipe or not... i have a few questions (mind you that by b-pipe i mean that im getting a resonator too):

- What is the actual benefit of getting a 2.5 inch piping rather than welding the magnaflow to my stock exhaust?

-What would the Magnaflow sound like when welded on to my stock b-pipe?... an after market on?

- If i get the shop that welds on my magnaflow muffler, approx how much do you think they well charge to install custom 2.5 inch piping?

-If i do get the exhaust shop to install 2.5 inch piping, do they have resonators, or should i bring one that i want them to weld on?

I went around to some local muffler shops and asked them how much for a 2.5 inch piping from the cat back and most quoted me around $150 installed. The benefits of it is that you'll have less back pressure and in turn create more power. What I noticed when they put my car up on a lift was that there is a crimp in the pipe right after the resonator, so I think you'll find some power from there. Your exhaust will get louder by an addition of a 2.5 inch b pipe. Most people complain about their exhaust being raspy and too loud without a resonator. Also most exhaust shops will carry universal resonators. I personally don't have any experience with Magnaflow mufflers, but I heard most exhaust setups with a stock b-pipe and y-pipe will be fairly quiet and the muffler sound cuts off at around 2500-3000rpm.
I also have a question for this thread too....what is the stock b-pipe size? One muffler shop suggested me that I should get a 2.25 inch pipe since 2.5 inch would be overkill. Any thoughts on this?

Aftermarket y-pipes are 2.5 inch. I would think the optimal choice for a b-pipe would be to continue with the same diameter piping of 2.5 inch, which is what I will be doing in the near future.

With the stock b-pipe and a magnaflow muffler, would the sound of the exhaust cut off around 2500-3000 RPMs or does the engine noise over power the sound. I am looking for something suttle yet sporty. Kinda similiar to the 350z sound or Evo III. So with that said, would a stock b-pipe or 2.5 inch b-pipe be better? I don't want anything to loud and that will drone when at cruising speeds.
