Window Motors

Anyone had any experience with the 4th gen window motors? My drivers side window closes at about 1/3 the speed of the passenger window. If anything I might swap the two motors with each other so my window is fast.

Is it an easy process? I have taken off the door panel for speakers before.

* price?

Just get a new one before it dies, I got my rear motor for $105 at autozone, goes up fast now :-]

My driver window goes up extremely slow also, so I will be replacing that too...

The motors come with new regulators so thats a plus... You cant switch left and right around.. So just wait till it dies and get a new motor/reg...;]

My passenger side front won't roll up/down at all. The motor still runs, but the glass won't move. Pulled the door panel and it's not off track. Almost looks like the cable is slipping... is there some king of replaceable gear or something?

Three of my regulators have been replaced already (the driver's window is the only one I haven't had replaced.

Any ideas?

Its probably your motor, the motor has a big rubber bushing thing and when the bushing cracks/brakes off it will spin but wont turn the cable... Sound's like you need a new motor.

Take the door panel off and reoil the motor and the track. Also clean the rubber seal thing that the window rolls down into. Sometimes they can get dirty and cause a lot of resistance.

Possibly you could find one at the junk yard. Not tough to replace.
