lost power

lost power

am taking my car for a spin last night and my car totally lost power, i need to step on the gas half way does any one knows this problem? i do have oil leaks can it be i need oil ? its for 4th gen by the way .97 max

Just a guess, but did you check the fuel filter? If the hoses aren't secure, that will most deffinitly do it. Also find out where ALL of your leaks are coming from. There isn't supposed to be anything leaking on the in or out of the engine bay.

yeah am leaking oil from rear main seal and timing chain cover which am going to repair this weekend.should i change the fuel filter also ?(well now that am thinking the car does has 107 k how often should fuel filters be changed?

Fuel filters are usually changed every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. You can also go with the Z300 fuel filter which has more surface area and will allow you to change the filter after 20,000 miles.

I just changed mine last weekends. Idle seems to be smoother. Although I did clean out the throttle body too. Maybe it's the combination of both.
