Does anyone know what the symptoms of worn engine and transmission mounts are? When I step on the gas and then step off quickly, my car seems to hesitate a little like something is loose.

thanks

Damaged mounts may result in thumping or clunking sounds when the gas pedal is pressed or released. The exaggerated movement of the engine/transmission within the vehicle may produce bizarre symptoms such as an automatic transmission which changes shifter position on it's own (say, from Drive to Neutral). It can also stretch a wiring harness which extends from the body to the engine, stretch it enough to break wires.
