flickering fog light

flickering fog light

my fog light tends to turn on and off. for the most part the light remains off, and goes on when i open and close my hood? the bulb was recently replaced and i'm not sure that the bulb is going. it could be, but anyone else have this problem please gimme some help! thanx!

So your saying that they go on and off by themselves? WHOA! They must be possesed.

It does not seem like a faulty bulb. They either work or dont work. Since I have some circuit schoolin behind me, I would consider checking for a blown fuse that is kinda intact (partial circuit) aswell I would check for loose/ busted wires. That could definitly be a cause of the intermitent connection. Aswell, taking a volt meter and measure the voltage of the wires going to the fog lights themselves could also help determine if the problem is with the lights themself. Try disconnecting one fog light.. see what happens, then try the other

Yea what ruthless said. Just sounds like its not fully plugged in propely.

Like if you screw in a light buld but screw it in just barely, the slightest movement will cause it to flicker on and off. Sound like it could be the case for you.
