'96 Max with P0740 code, is there a fix.

Hi,

My max is showing its age! The idiot light is telling me that the clutch torque converter is malfunctioning, yet there are no drivability problems. I reset the code (P0740) late last week, and it hasn't come back on, .. yet. What is the fix for this issue, other then to keep resetting the code or removing the CEL light? Is there a real problem, that just hasn't shown up yet?

Thanks,
