I know that there is a write up on this in the "How To's" but I have checked/tried that and the valet switch inside my trunk is in the correct position. It is not locked but still I can't open the trunk with the button on the door or with the remote although there is a noise when I press the door button or the remote. I can only open it with the key. Any new suggestions...

Have you tried opening the trunk with the valet switch in the other position?

 

yes, I have tried it with both positions... up and down... no luck.

 

You should have someone press the trunk release on the driver side door while you watch the trunk latch and see whats happening.
