Y-pipe installation help

I am planning on installing the warpspeed y-pipe and warpspeed cat with a new stock muffler and reuse the B pipe from the car.

What other parts will I need, and what things to be cautious of?

Never replaced a whole exhaust before and would love some tips on it.

Thanks

just make sure you use the gaskets, make sure there no clearence problems, and tighten the bolts tight to they dont get lose and rattle.

WD-40 is also a good thing to have handy as old and rusted bolt are a b!tch to take off w/o the magic spray (WD-40).

na na na, dont use wd-40, use Pb blaster for those bolts. Every bolt that you will be replacing/removing, DRENCH it in pb blaster. Do it the night before you plan on install your y pipe, like 3-4 times if not more. youll thank yourself later.

The package included gaskets and a hanger. I had to go out and buy 8 nuts and 2 bolts (the 2 bolts for the catalytic converter) <--- those were HORRIBLE

exactly. soak it good well in advance so it can start soaking into those bolts and hopefully wont take as much energy to break free when your ready.

no just underneath, just jack it up a good height so you can get underneath, you'll need the room to try and break those 3 bolts free.

Any advice not on the y-pipe but the installation from the new cat to the old b-pipe. Reading the past 10 pages of posts, it seems like at times either the gasket/O-ring doesnt fit snug.

If all else fails, you could try to take it to a muffler place to torch the bolts off and replace em with new hardware to make things easier for your install. Its usually less than an a half hour's work for em and it'll save you a lot of time and energy.

You do when you disconnect the O2 sensors.

just take the o2 sensors out with an open ended wrench...keep them plugged in and hangin there. i did not need to replace the bolts that were from the headers down to the Y pipe cuz mine were still in pretty decent shape. the cat bolts were another story. I just ground them off and then drilled new holes for the flange. other than that it was a piece of cake...i had taken everything off the day before, thank god because im the most impatient person in the world. all in all it was an easy install. 15-20 minutes.
