Just wondering if anybody knew if a stillen front spoiler would have any real automotive benefit. Like would I get better gas mileage or less wind noise???? Would the front end stick better??? I know it looks good so I'm thinking about getting it but I was just curious if anybody had some thoughts.
Doesn't some "rice" guy have the best price??? Does the Stillen one come painted? Who else makes chin spoilers?

Yo_its_ok just ended a group deal on them, and Avalon Racing also sells them. DON'T order from the webpage, they cost about twice as much there then anywhere else. They come unpainted. Check the Group Deal forum. Anyone else make them? Sure, but I think 90% of people would say that the Stilen one looks the best. NOTE: This is just my opinion, I'm sure that the other ones look just as god to the people that have bought them.

I think they're sold as purely cosmetic items.
HOWEVER, in my personal opinion, it may help slightly in gas mileage and slightly in top speed. The underside of the Maxima is very turbulent and not very aerodynamic. Some cars, like Ferrari's have flat or very smooth aerodynamic bottoms to minimize drag. By pushing air away from the underside of the car, you'll probably be able to get a higher top speed or slightly better gas mileage at freeway speeds (and higher) speeds.
Consequently, air going into your engine through either the grill or lower air intake area is also not very good for aerodynamics. That's why cars such as the F50, Elise, etc... have radiators mounted almost horozontally, and draw air up from the ground through the hood area to the low pressure windshield area and up.

Most front wings are for looks and more than likely increase drag, thus lowering top speed and MPG. Remember your car was put in a wind tunnel... but I will bet you that the front wing wasn't.
