I have 20% also and I'm in NJ. I've passed a few cops, but I haven't had any problems. My mom always complains that she can't see out the car at night when she's with me, but I can see fine without any problems. As for the legality of it, I haven't attempted inspection yet, and I bought the car with the tint already done by the previous owner, so I'm hoping when I do take it, I'll pass because I like it!

I can see fine at night. The highbeams from trucks and cars doesn't seem to bother me anymore. I got the tint done by a friend and he did a hell of a job. No bubbles and the rear window is just one piece of tint. I don't like rear window to be in two pieces of tint. I just don't like it!

As for the cops:
I live in PA around Philly and I haven't been harass by them yet.

One more biggie. My girlfriend gets jealous now that my ride been getting too much attention from all the good looking ladies with their stare! Heey what can I say, the car looks phat.

for nick

dont try to pass inspection if you have any tint on the front windows or windshield in nj. you will fail. if you don't have tint on the front youre fine, the tint on the back can be as dark as you want. just want to save you a trip to the stupid dmv. later.

I have it all around except the windshield. Plus, because I have the tan interior, it looks lighter, especially up close. I heard they were lightening up with tint in NJ...true?

20% tint isn't really that dark. I can see fine at night. Actually, I don't think it's dark enough, I might redo the tint and get the 5%. It would look tight as heck on a superblack Maxima.
