i had my DUMB moments also, i remember one time when i installed subs in my car and once i was finished, it didnt work, and for 4 hours i was trying to figure out why the subs would get no power and only static, then i looked at something i should have looked at 4 hours ago and that was the remote turn on wire which i accidently didnt connect, what a waste of time.

Got up one morning and my dad's car was showing the cranks-but-doesn't-start symptom. I visually checked the battery and fuses. They checked out all right. After spending a few hours, it got towed off to the dealer. Turned out to be a fuel pump fuse that looked OK visually but was bad. Also got the fuel injection cleaning done, which really boosted the performance of the car.
So the moral of the story is... Use a fuse testing device!
