Tightening spoiler?

Tightening spoiler?

is there any possible way to tighten my spoiler, it is kind of loose, there must be a way to reach the clips and tighten them up, but i have no clue on how to do this, thanks guys!!!!!!!!

yeah, with stock spoiler open the trunk and just look under the mat thingy. u have to pull off the clips that hold the carpet on, u can see the bolts there. two in the middle of the spoiler, i dont know if there are any on the outside.

yes, there are bolts for the outside also. Tighten them, it will help. What you might also consider checking is your trunk latch, if its too low, that can also cause the trunk to make noise/rattle.

I thought there were plastic clips on the outside???

Yes, there are plastic clip grommets that hold down the outside pedestals, along with 3M tape. The center pedestal is where the bolts are to tighten down the spoiler. To access the bolts, you must remove the trunk lid liner. As far as holding down the outside pedestals, you have to buy new 3M tape to hold down. This tape tends to wear off as the car gets older with the outside elements. I think the best way is to remove the spoiler, and re-attach with new clips and adhesive.
