K&N drop filter for the stock air box and if you want a decent growl with your intake look through the stickies for the hacked air box mod

I have a question , is it good to put a intake cold air in a maxima even if the original mufler still on?? I think that if I increase the input air flow and not the output , the engine gonna die...

Oh yeah since im 12 years old im reading everything on cars, actually my max is my second car , and my first one was a piece of ****: I do a lot of mecanics, maby too much..
Thats not the question , I just want to kown if the nissan electronic can accept a intake cold air, (by the way I read only on NORMALS car, i dont really like the wannabe tunnig actually, AND I dont find real books on REAL tunnig, the internet is the best way to learn, so I m learning, lol)
But I read that a 24 valve engine work on low air pressure, so i thinked that gonna be bad to put a intake cold air. THINk about that, try to run your engine whitout air restriction!! The timing gonna fu . c k , and dommage your engine , oH yeah , you cant see it immediatly, but the engine will die a 250 000 km instead of 450 000 !!

It's cool that a 12 year old is interested in cars, especially Maximas. I remember myself at that age wanted a Honda Civic SI (yeah yeah).

But you still have LOTS to learn about engines and you'll pick things up as you get older. Between now and when you get your license, you have at least 4 years to learn. An intake wouldn't mess up the timing at all, it has nothing to do with the timing. And that low air pressure thing barely makes sense. Make sure you read from good sources like car magazines and not so much from forums because there is a lot of wrong information on the internet.

All right , thats what i want to know , but im septic, i nerver tutch japan mecanic again , my father always got dodge , ( i do mecanic on dodge stealth(thats rock!), durango, neon, ram van(my first car) and a pt cruiser) I see that is easy and ok to put a intake cold air on american cars, LOOK a this , nissan has 2x more wires and electronic than dodge .
Underdtand , I dont really know about nissan and before doing something wrong i want to be sure.
(oh by the way, sorry about my english, I only do 1 year of english courses)

Why wouldn't the car handle a CAI, if it can handle a cold day, a CAI's not going to hurt it..

.. "run without air restriction", huh, the more air the better (to a point)

Aren't our engines high compressions, not low anyway

Damn people

As per the original post question, an air filters only purpose is filtering out harmful debris that may enter the engine through the intake tract .. so answering your ?, benefits = enigne will last longer. This thread is infested by 's
