speed limiter removal

speed limiter removal

i remember seeing a write up on cutting a wire to remove the speed limiter. but i cant find it now. any of u know anything about this??????

ok...i cut the right wire....but now my car stalls when ever i stop.....and no cel either......any ideas on the would help alot

Uh cut the wrong wire maybe? It shouldn't do that. And why would you ever need to go over 118.375 mph?

Racing of course, nothing worse than a Honda going past you 'cos your speed cuts out

Oh Hondas can get up that fast? As a matter of fact, if I wanted to race a Civic I could set a speed limiter at 80 mph.

ya i don't get it either.......yes i double even triple checked it and it was the right one......i reconnected it and it was fine....i think someone ****ed with that comp

Yours tops out at 118? i have a GXE and ive gotta up to 135.

yea the same **** happened to me and if u leave it cut it will kill your battery and i know i clipped the right wire too becuz when i first clipped it i went 130 jus to see if it worked then while i was on an offramp my car stalled when i put the clutch in

No, I have a GXE, but it doesn't top out at 118. That's just the speed they usually limit at. Only some GXEs don't have limiters.
