well Gr-2s and the Hp Blues are more towards stock replacements, the AGX are are more for performance, and will last longer with a drop. Out of those three i would choose AGX because it is adjustable where as the others are not. But you forgot Tokico Illuminas, which would be the best out of the 4. AGX are known to get harsh in the winter, and have had some problems, but no one has reported any problems with Illuminas. which are more geared towards performance, and are also adjustable.

Out of the three the AGX would be your best bet, HP Blues are pretty much the stock struts and dont plan on dropping too much if you purchase these. GR-2 can take a more serious drop but are known to be stiff some like it some dont. AGX you can adjust so you can make it softer or you can make it a harder ride. Can go wrong with customizing the setup get AGX

You can't catagorize them as better or worse, you should look at them from the prospective of what kind of ride and handling you want and then choose the correct strut for your application.

KYB-GR2 - Very firm non adjustable strut. Great handling, very firm ride.

KYB-AGX - Very firm adjustable strut. Great handling, four way adjustability from firm to a pretty down right stiff ride.

KYB Products tend to have a harsh ride on a lowered setup, especially in the cold winter months.

Tokico HP - Very smooth riding replacement strut. Valved with slightly less rebound dampening then the stock units. Good overall ride control and handling for those who want a more luxury ride.

Tokico Illuminas - Adjustable very smooth performance strut. Five way adjustabliity from a soft (similar to the HP series) ride up to a nice firm ride. They provide excellent handling and ride control and are by far the best riding strut for a lowered setup.

Koni Adjustable Yellow Cartridges are also available for our cars. The fronts are not a bolt in replacement, the old sturts need to be modified to accept the cartridge. The rears are a direct bolt on application. They provide a good firm ride with excellent handling.

You can get them for $400-450 Shipped. For quality performance struts that is not bad. AGXs are not that much less than that.

If you are just staying on stock springs you can just get GR-2s. But if you want to put any kind of lowering spring on there I would opt for the AGXs or Illuminas, and the Illuminas are the better riding. I have Eibach and Illumina 5/5 setup and I love it. It rides pretty rough but it handles really well and almost never bottoms out.
