stripped nut on strut mount, need help

Alright so my buddies and I were taking my springs n stuff out so I can put in coilovers and we ran into a situation...

One of my buddies stripped the nut on the rear left strut mount and it's actually on there real tight. Any suggestions on what we can do?

need help ASAP!

Oh I did that the first time around. Find one of those kits at sears to remove stripped nuts. Worked fine, it'll take it off if you can get a good enough grip.

If I remember correctly, either $20 or $40 for a set of those sockets to remove the stripped nut. Nuts themselves can be bought at a local dealership. I bought 4 new ones, and replaced the 2 on each side.

or get a dremel with the cutting wheel on it and slice the nut off. assuming you wont be reusing it... thats what i did. but if you do be VERY VERY careful. try not to cut up ur fender well, etc

If it's a stripped nut, you can use a nutcracker. It's a tool shaped like a c-clamp that you tighten until the cutting jaw crack the nut.
