i tried doing this like 2 months back, i have Catz Projector foglights, they're HUGE. Fit on my Accord fine, my celica fine, but when it came to the i30, there was no place for it in the bumper slots!!! but usually i tend to keep my stock fogs, and add aftermarket ones. more lightbulbs shining = more light to shine the road. so i don't get it why you guys are trying to replace your stock ones? why not just put aftermarket ones somewhere else??

P.S. for fog n rain, you need to get yellow ones

Looks alright, im sure it works well - anything is an improvment over stock lighting. I remember without the help of my stock fogs, my stock 9004 headlights were pretty pathetic. You might be blinding oncoming traffic though.

Mine are mounted into two holes in the hood. So when I open the hood they go up as well.
Don't know if you have space enough on the 4th gen max though

how was the wiring for this like? came with a relay and a harness?

I noticed you mention this one comes on with the highbeams. is there a way to make it come on with the lows as well?

The Hella kit comes with everything you need. It has all the wiring, brackets, connectors, relay and a switch. You can wire it any way you want. Mine are set up to only come one with the high beams, but I can flip the switch and turn them off manually at that point too.

I set it up that way because they are so bright that the only time I would use them is when I would have the high beams on anyway. This way, when I dip the lights for an oncoming car, I just hit the stalk instead of having to hit the stalk for one set of lights and the switch for the other.

Plus, when I flash someone to get out of the left lane, they get the message real quick

I know it wouldn't be the same as the OEM look but something very close will suffice. I wonder if I can gut the housing of the oem fog and retrofit an aftermarket HID type fogs behind the OEM fog lenses.

mzmtg, those fogs look good on the GXE.
yea my friend actually stuck an HIDs in his OEM fogs and they are VERY bright. Blind the hell out of people. Its a good look, just a little more money of course...

i second that. converting from 9004 to 9007 is the best thing i have ever done to increase the comfort of the max. I would recomend it as the second thing any new maxima owner should do; right after a y pipe.
