amps vs. udp!!

brother owns a '99 max.

he just installed a bazooka in the trunk (self powered subwoofer). He has a cheap head unit, but pretty much that's the only audio upgrades.

i've read that an UDP is a bad idea if audio has been upgraded heavily. would this count? would a UDP be a bad idea for his max?

since the audio system isn't that heavy-duty... would a grounding kit help? and help the power to keep flowing with the smaller pulley?

tips comments... thanks

He'll be fine with a bazooka in there + UDP. I'm going to be running 750 watts RMS in my car with an UDP, and I don't think I'm going to have a problem. My optima blue top helps too.

I have a Memphis Baby Belle in my Max. (400 x 1 @ 1 ohm Mono and 55 x 4). My headlights dim hardcore on bass hits. I wanna run a Big Belle (1100 x 1 and 75 x 4) but I don't think the car can handle it without an alternator upgrade. I think an Optima will fix my power problems now, but theres no way I can run a Big Belle without an alternator.

Anyways my question, WTF is a UDP?

I am gonna go into my buddies stereo shop and redo the grounds underhood with 4 gauge. Anyone know how many there are to change?

I am running 4 gauge back, and 4 gauge grounds under 12". My buddy runs a shop and helped me with it all.
