Quick updated results after vandalism (PICS)

So my car was vanadalized about a month back. I ended up doing a full repaint and finally got my car back today. There are still some flaws and will be going back to get some spots fixed, but overall a good job.

SuperBlack (KH3)

-Shaved antenna-added OEM VW roof antenna
-completely debaged rear
-SE grille conversion
-door handles painted body color

Color not as attractive as my last one, but this would hopefully prevent from another vandalism from occuring. I went with a suttle, sleek look.

Thank you guys.

My original color was custom Neptune blue. My car was keyed like it was nobody's business. I decided to go KH3 so i wouldn't stand out for anyone else to mess w/my ride...although I admit I do miss the neptune blue.

The VW antenna was mounted to the roof. A hole was cut in the roof under the antenna and wire is run through the car and hooked up to the back of my headunit. I believe its a regular coaxial cable. I have yet to run the wire but will be doing so this weekend.

The car went through the normal process of being painted, wet sanded, etc etc. The paint job was done by a nearby local shop; they only worked nights since they worked for Infinity during the day (their bodyshop.) The paint job cost me 2000. Wasn't a bad job whatsoever.

wow... that thing looks amazing. I plan on painting my max in a month or so. I loved the neptune blue but the KH3 looks amazing.

Im defiently going to be shaving my antenna like you did. Where did you get ahold of that VW antenna. Make the car look a lot more sleek. What kind of camera did you use to take these pictures.

Black is nice. Make sure you always wash your car by hand. Commercial car washes ruin black paint.

very nice, so didt they do the door jambs, trunk and engine bay in the black too?

also i like the look of the painted door handles but chrome around the windows, points for originality.

if i could describe your car in one word i think itd be- classy. its not over the top, nothing tacky; just a nice and clean maxy

I miss your Neptune Blue, everytime I saw you sig it was sexy, many of us have Black or Onxy Black but you among a few with the Neptune Blue plus Stillen Kit on 18s.

Still looks gerogous in the Black. You were vadalized cause your car was Blue I dont understand that part.

Thanks a lot guys. I woke up this morning and went to check on my car. It seems that it was welcomed with a handful of bird ****. You guys are right. It doesn't seem easy taking car of a black car. There was a light coat of dust covering my entire car.

I've been looking for the VW antenna for a while, and found one on ebay. Its the OEM mount and antenna, and I bought a shorter add on antenna to screw into the base. I actually got the idea from Max4Speed and have to give credit to him. I won it for 35 shipped.

The camera I used to take those pictures is the sony dscp-71. I have it for sale in the forum for 115 shipped.

I am running on Progress/AGX(r)/Tokico blues(f). Its a nice setup and im looking to go with illuminas sometime in the future. For those who are looking for a spring/strut combo, Progress has a very good drop and is a step away from the H&R's in comfort. paired with illuminas and it would be a perfect combo.

I felt the Neptune Blue caught a lot of eyes and that may have played a part of my car being keyed. no pics of it though.

I actually like the location that I picked. It was on the way home and i decided to swing by for a few snaps.

The shaved emblem look is growing on me

I will definitely miss the neptune blue. thanks for the comments all.

I have a trunk camera installed in the keyhole. I had the outer ring painted black to flush with the trunk. Otherwise, i would have shaved that too.
