Headlight bulbs...

I want to get some bulbs, but I want to be very sure that they aren't too high of a wattage becacuse I dont want to burn my connectors. I checked the FAQ, but didn't see this in there.

What is the max (or safe) wattage I should be looking for?

Also, I see that, for example, silverstars are 65/45 watts. Is there one number for the brights and one number for the regular headlights?

Also, any suggestions? I'm not really trying to spend more than $20 or so on a pair.

thanks!

I would double check the owner's manual but don't go over 65 watts. Yes there are two numbers, one for low, one for high beam. Silverstars are usually 20 dollars each. If you don't care about looks, just get regular halogen, they are generally brighter than the cheap "cool blues."

I want hids too but I am sure without projectors, the headlights would bother every one on the road.

Short of HIDs, why not do the 9007 conversion? The xtravisions work well for those, and cost $17 at walmart.
