'99 Cali Spec Y-pipe on a 97 Cali Spec

I know after this question, I’ll probably get voted off the island.

But I searched and I believe I have the answer. I just wish someone could prove me wrong. A ’99 Cali Spec Y pipe will not fit a ’97 Cali Spec Maxima. Any ideas on what would be required to make this work and an approximate cost. Would it be cheaper to just get a Fed-Spec Y pipe and replace all parts to make this work? (Cali to Fed conversion)

It won't work. Just buy a '97 Y-pipe.

I do believe it is!

My Twelfth character is a V.

But I sure do wish I was a Fed-Spec

if your front manifold has a pre cat in it then a 99 cali Y will fit.... but as far as every one knows the 95-98 maximas only have one y pipe. you would be the first to have a 99 style 97.

you have an engine bay pic?
