Gas Mileage just 1/2 tank measure way.

Ok...given none of us will be rolling until car literally stop due to gas and then read odometer. I want to ask you guys starting from the gas station when you told the guy "Fill it up (with 93 octane of course)". And roll your tripmeter to 0000 how many miles till your guage hit 1/2 tank.

My baby burned 1/2 tank after pushing exactly 235 miles. Spirited driving... that means highway/city combined. and highway mostly 75+ average.

what do you guys get?

You can't judge by the needle. The correct way to measure mileage is to reset the trip meter when you fill up (as you did), and then next time you fill up, divide the miles driven between fill-ups by the gallons you needed to get back to a full tank. Do this 3 or 4 times to get an average - since every pump cuts off at a different stage - so "full" is different each time you fill up.

to answer your question i get between 220-250 before the needle hits the middle, but that will vary for everyone.. especially if they've taken apart their gauge cluster or anything like that and touched the needles.
