Experienced what?

Btw, I don't think its a good idea to drive till the tank is empty - you'll just suck all the sludge and crap from the bottom of your tank into your fuel lines. Also, I *think* the fuel pump runs hotter (since its cooled by the fuel) - which is not good.

I didn't know we had a light, I usually drive until its on empty for about 10 miles. I don't have the money to keep filling the thang up every time I feel like it.
I know its not GOOD for it to run it empty but sometimes I don't have an option.

I hope you are joking. How is it costing you less to fill up later?

Also, my needle sometimes goes on empty then 2 minutes later its back up half way to the 1/4th line.

I don't have a job, (I'm trying to get one) so why keep putting money in it when I've still got 17 bucks/150miles left in it?
Do you understand my logic now?

i once took it to where there was no gas left and my car shut off on me as i was driving into the gas station, and i coasted to fill up. i normally go til the light comes on and fill it up. And he isnt saying it will cost him less doing it later, but he just might not have the money at the time to fill it up when he should be doing it.

Got it. Just think that running it empty over and and over again is going to lead to some more costly repairs in the future... but I understand your point-of-view. It still might be wise to add 5 bucks worth of gas rather than run in dry.
