Are VQ30's Interference Motors?

Just wondering.... can get a free one with no compression due to no timing chain.....

If not I have an extra set of heads.. just saves some time

dont know what an "iterference motor" is but, if it doesnt have a timing chain because it went out, i wouldnt even waste my time with that motor even if it was free.

Well thanks for your opinion......

Interference means that if the Timing Assy (belt/chain) breaks/slips, the valves become stops for the pistons (in a nut shell)

will the pistons hit the valves if the chain brakes, while it is running, it would be nasty
