I totalled my car a little while ago and just got it back. I am really considering parting it out, but I don't know if it will be profitable. How much would I be able to sell the car as a whole and how much would I be able to get if I parted it out? I am keeping the intake and exhaust, so they are already off the car. Would anyone like to make an offer for the car as a whole?

By the way, its a 5 speed. The tranny was in good condition as well as the motor. The tranny has about 140k and the motor has about 100k.

 

This is like a message from god, lol. Ive been needing black interior parts for quite some time. If you decide to part it out, how much will you ask for the black trim pieces on the doors and the vents?

How did you wreck your car?? also what type of shifter is that stock or shortthrow?

I wish I had the money and was local, I'd probably buy it and part it out, have a lot of boxes plus a pathfinder to take parts to ship.

 

i know he can make more money parting it out. he wanted a number so i threw out a low ball number at him. we already have a parts car that we paid 600 for,and its in the same shape. as for the seats,i would not give more than 150 for them,because their cloth,but to each his own.

 

I call dibs on the full 5spd conversion parts minus transmission, wow what a deal, DIBS DIBS DIBS! I also call dibs on the sunroof shade, (The door part)rear trunk, rear taillights, and rear bumper, I dont need spoiler somone else called dibs, also fogs if possible, and passanger mirror.

My friend azmaxipad calls dibs on the full interior, FULL interior, if you start parting parts off it he wont be interested, the only thing he does not need is the headliner, I know shipping will be annoying on some of these parts.

It sounds like a good idea to part the car. I will be going through everyone's requests, with first dibs, price offered, and local pick-up in mind when I make up a list for parts. When everything is ready, I will start a thread in the 4sale forum.

 

Question... Is anyone familiar with shipping large parts? Such as a tranny, which may need to be crated? What companies offer good service?
