Ecu Cel?

So, i checked the ECU the other day to see if there were any ghost codes coming up that weren't triping the CEL. I did the procedure, and the CEL didn't blink at all so i was happy! then when i turned the car back on, the CEL came on when the key was at ACC or whatever, i think. it seemed different to me like it wasn't there before. but then when the car is running, it isn't there, so it doesn't seem like a big deal, but i was just wondering if it's a way to show that the ECU has been messed with? not sure.

If you did the CEL diagnosis correctly, you should get 0505 - i.e no problems detected/stored by the ECU. Go back and double check the codes via the screw and see if you can get it to blink 0505. I doubt anyone has tampered with the ECU.

your CEL should have blinked five short ones and five long ones if it has no stored codes.

Did you turn the screw back to the right, didn't leave it in diag mode or anything?
