you know what you need to do? YOU NEED TO SLOW THE F DOWN! thats what you need to do. thats what is going to reduce the chances of that happening again. dont you get it? its all common sense. yeah youre young and you think youre invincible but sh*t, reality is gonna smack you in the face and you are going to pay for it dearly. listen to what those guys who have had close friends die in automobile accidents due to stupidity, even the ones on tv. its all so clear. i dont know why you keep pushing the false fact that its the suspensions fault.
even if you did have the best handling car in the world, you still wouldnt be able to handle it due to your lack of experience. not to rain on your parade but its the truth.

645 is a v8 dogg...coupe i think as well
those ****s are fast..

i raced a 325 tho the other day on 422...i have a bone stock maxima, the 2 are pretty much even (im pretty sure a 325 is around 190hp 190 tq) but i smoked it...then the funny thing is, as i was racing it, its engine blew up at about 110 going around a turn, nobody was hurt, im sure the driver was a little upset tho, they just started spewing smoke everywhere and pulled to the side of the road.

but yeah, u definitely need to be more careful, im 18 and have totalled 1 car already from taking a corner too hard and losing control (haa mazda mx3, gs automatic- it was a 1.8liter v6, yeah, wierd little car. slow as hell but it handled pretty well, since i had GOOD TIRES on it) and the other day i was racing one of those new scion TCs and i hit a turn at about 127 mph, started to slide a little bit, and just said **** it. i was beating him, and apparently we were still racing, but i slowed down and let him win, because its just not worth it.

I don't mind .orgers having a friendly little race if its safe to do so, but you don't have to push your cars up to and beyond 127 mph when doing so. That's utterly ridiculous!

You should slow down too, bud.

What speed does this happen at? Is it above the posted speed limit? Perhaps you should get rid of the rear sway bar until you learn how to handle the car.

OK Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy.......u have a RSB..lowered and stiff struts= stiff oversteerish rear end.......u were going to fast and did not know how ur car would react.....so my suggestions 1.) goto an SCCA Solo II event and learn how to drive OR 2.) lose the RSB and sell to me OR 3.) SLOW UR AZZ DOWN ON THE STREETS until u learn how to drive...

it seems like the more people abuse their car, the less theyve realy worked for it. i mean this in general im sure there are alot of exceptions like people who realy want to drive and see what a car can do, and are willing to work to keep something hard earned, good. imo, rich kids treat things like theyre toys. that may be a bit of my resentment and jealousy too, but i realy think its true and seems infantile .when u work for every dollar then youll see a bent cv and axle as $$ and not just a part, and you would baby that thing because the miles you put on are more valued

i'm not saying that you might not have worked hard for the car, or the work that has been put into it, but it's not gonna do you any good like everyone else says if you don't know how to control it. YOU DON'T GET IT! you spun out because of lack of driving skills! not because the car needs more work! so don't ask people what you can do to make this so that it is impossible to happen next time. The max is not an F1 car and doesn't handle like one. It never has and never will. Yeah, you probably know this, but just think about it when you drive. quit worrying about the performance of the car. A bad drive can even lose control of a Civic due to lack of skill. You have more power under your *** than you think. save it for the track!

(or REALLY deserted strips of road that are about 1/4 mile long)

speeding is 85 for me nower days..... ive had saturns fly by... i know i can take em.. but restraint.... also when on highway say hello to mister cruise control.. specially wiht teh sky rocketting premium gass prices, you save a few bucks usign cruise....

hmm if ur alignment was off yea... i could understand how it would spin out... cause when i was on my way back from Bklyn..i noticed my car swayed... so i went to a empty parking lot and did a few left to rights.. man teh rear felt like it had feet and it was walking foff in another direction....

im shure u learned from your mistakes.. maintain ur car.... before u speed up.. .. also i think you should post the gas price on teh spedometer at about 85mph and rpm guage at about 5 thouusand rpm..... so u can see how much ur killing .. gasss..and these tanks take quite a bit to fill i did 37$ the other day... = \ i didn teat lunch cause i had no money.. hehehe..

be careful but yea the alignment with a RSB prolly did u in...

im young too but if ur gonna speed dont do it with people in the car. endanger urself if thats ur choice but dont endanger someone else as well. i speed a little, everyone does, theres no denying, but when someone else is in the car, u cant do that. it would suck to have to tell ur best friend's mom that u killed him.

hey, all i gotta say is if you want to mod your car, go ahead, but please dont go crazy with your car.
How fast did you turn your wheel to change lanes? you must have jerked the wheel pretty fast to make you spin out.
Just drive safe, and you will be ok. If you want to do heavy driving, go the track, autox whatever, dont do it with people around.

Consider this a learning experience, and to give you my .02, if you drive like that again, it'll happen again, and maybe this time, you might kill someone, so dont do that. just chill, your young, you have a whole life ahead of you.

I dunno about anyone else but I'm also still fuming about the comparison with a Jag XK-8.

It's really sad.... If the initial post hadn't been followed by "I was racing a BMW 645 on the highway" and "I was trying to see what the max can do" and "I crave the need for speed", there might have been useful support. Intentions mean everything...

oofzpumba, to sum it up - you don't need any more mods on your car to make it handle better. In fact, the problem was very likely that it handled too well, and you didn't expect it, over compensated, and boom.

Definitely go get an alignment, I wouldn't be surprised if they found a slack ball joint or two, or other worn parts...

If you want it to handle more like what you expected, remove the RSB.

im young too but if ur gonna speed dont do it with people in the car. endanger urself if thats ur choice but dont endanger someone else as well. i speed a little, everyone does, theres no denying, but when someone else is in the car, u cant do that. it would suck to have to tell ur best friend's mom that u killed him.
That's good, but remember that you're just as likely to kill someone in another car if you do yourself, and you never know who that may be.

Just remember guys who like to race, there are others of us on the road who would prefer you didn't - people that enjoy their life and want to enjoy it for a while longer. You might not think so, but what you do endangers everyone around you.

Listen to HomerMac (truly the worst typer on the ORG, hehe) - lock it at 85, and buy your time at the track.

I'm going to agree with everyone else on the RSB. Take it off and you'll have more understeer.

or find a speed driving course that teaches you how to handle cars with oversteer better. not criticizing you, I'd like to take one myself...

do 4th gens have adjustable RSBs available?

All kidding aside. I am in intern this month in a Trauma Center in Savannah GA. I admit I do silly crazy speeds on I-16 from Savannah to Macon but I dont race anyone.

If I see cars ahead, I either slow down or I pull to the left keeping in mind that I need to stomp on my brakes if someone comes in front of me.

There's a way to be responsible and have fun.

For those who say this guy should race cars while driving alone shouldnt do that. I dont mean to be Dudley Do-Right but I've seen a few bad wrecks already where crazy people in cars dont die, they kill the people they hit.

We just had a guy who T-boned this old couple doing what the cops estimated at 115mph. The toyota camry he hit was ripped in two and the people inside, some little girl's grandparents, were killed. And the guy just walked away with minor injuries- straight to jail.

It only happens once. And once this happens to you, it lives with you forever.

Mod your car, put a blower on it, a booming system, but please don't put other people's lives in jeopardy- all for a thrill. Especially now that race tracks and dynos are everywhere.
