The stock ones are the round cylinder ones. I replaced mine with leds. It was a pretty small spot to soider if you ask me.

It's not very blinding because I turned the led around facing the housing and it produced enough light to light up the whole housing. The purpose was because I wanted to get rid of the amber look inside the car. (same reason why people would replace the green led from their window switches)
