no, it will cosnume the same amount .. unless you're on the throttle more b/c of the added power, and the concept behind it is nothing like vtec, read up on both vtec and variable intake manifolds/dynamic supercharging ...

Yes it would be, but some of us aren't very cost effective and like to stay N/A, w/o the help of forced induction ot N2O.

damm.. a mevi/ecu will be more than a 2002 3.5L motor... i rather wait a bit more till tranny or engine goes.. which will be al long itme the way i look out for my baby... then get the manual conversion to 2002 enigne/tran(6speed if i can find)

Might as well jsut wait until you can get a 5.5g because that engine isn't going to go oiut for some time.

At the time most of the original MEVI people got theirs the 3.5L Max had only been out for maybe a month .. so we weren't exactly familiar with it, but we wanted more power so we decided to tap into the 3.0 ...

but....how would it perform? I mean, I've got the WS y&b, injen intake, and UDP. It runs mid 9's like it is. Would you say maybe 9.0 or 9.1 with MEVI and the JWT ECU?

Check the 1/4 jmile forums, and MEVI FAQ's, if you're auto then you can reference off of IansW's stock times, and if not there are many many 5spds that have it in and have ran in the past and their 1/4 mile times, dynos etc can be found in their respecitve forums.
