I've been pondering the pros/cons of converting the corner lamps to turn signals(similiar to 5th Gen) and making the current turn signals simple marker lamps that stay on. I don't care much for the somewhat wimpy stock turn signals and and this may be a way to improve them. Anyone tried this already??

 

its as easy as changing some wiring. Adding a relay too.

Not very hard. Easy to reverse

 

yes a few people have done it. they have done it for what you said and for when they shaved off their turn signals all together. if im not mistaking you can jus move the sockets and not mess with cutting wires. but im not sure.

 

yeah...If i remember correctly, there was something in the how to's about this. They blink along with the bumper lights.

 

OK, I did searches but didn't come up with anything, if I'm feeling particularly ambitious sometime I'll try it out...

 

ya I wanted to do that too, but didn't know how to, do you need to add anything to the relays?

 

theres a write up on www.vqpower.com for the signal lights to stay on. as for making the cornerlamp blink, you just connect or splice into the live signal light wire. fairly easy to do.
