Can the sensor that is connected to the stock air ram arm be removed so i can install a better type of ram than that stock thing?

the sensor there is a air temp sensor. it can be removed but the plug thing in the arm that the senosr goes into must be takin out of the scoop and be placed back on to the sensor. if not, ur car will start tripping and you will get the check engine light. after you remove the the whole plug setup thing, you can tie it to anything secure in the engine bay. good luck
