Not sure what to do about the o2 sensor and smell

I recently had my ses light come on. Well I had the codes read and it said I needed to get a new o2 sensor. Well I left my radio on the other day and I need a jump start. Well after I got that done my light was off because it must have reset. Well my light hasn't come on since and it has been like 4 days. Should I still replace it? I also have a weird smell coming from somewhere and it smells bad. I can smell it more when I am not moving. What do you think it would be? I thought maybe a cat but I am not sure.

Not brakes. I think it has something to do with the muffler or cat. I know I need a new muffler soon.

Did you leave any food anywhere in the car? (maybe a coworker put a dead fish somewhere) Or you could have fried a cat if it crawled up in your engine...better get a spatula!

The muffler won't make a smell.

A bad cat and a bad O2 sensor would make sense. Does it smell like a stink bomb? That would be the cat.

Yeah it kinda of does. I think it maybe be that. If I get a high flow cat would that make me lose horsepower?
