Third blown headlight bulb in 2 years

So I noticed on my driver home tonight that my driver's side headlight is blown. This is the third time in 2 years, on the same side. Has anyone encountered this before or would know what would be causing it?
Any insight would be appreciative.
Thanks

a lot of times when a headlight bulb blows is because of electric current. when i did the 9007 conversion on mine, mine blew in like 2 minutes because i was dumb and went to an atm got money, went into my car started it, n not waiting turnmed my lights on very quickly. so i just went back to 9004 n then got new smoked cefiros n hid's anyways, start your car and at least wait till all the lights stop blinking, the brake light, gas light, everything. wait till all of that stops. wait like 3 more seconds, then turn on your headlight. what its doing is allowing all the eletricity travel to your car evenly hence minimizing a shortage which cause ur headlight to blow.

Check the bulb socket and wires. There might be some dirt or corrosion on the contacts for the bulbs.

Why won't you just put a 30a fuse so that the fuse will blow and not the headlamp.

I recommend using some Hospital Gloves, before installing them.

I recommend simply not touching the bulb itself at all. Just take your time and be very careful.

I usually wait awhile before starting the car.
Are you suggesting that all max owner tend to encounter this if they start without delay

I went through 2 Slyvania Silverstars and a PIAA superwhite.
I've switch the bulbs for years, since I got my car.
It's just been blowing recently.

Silverstars are known to blow after a year. You should look in the How to section for converting from 9004 to 9007. I just did this set up and am very please. It cost me all together about 45.00.

Blown headlight

I was driving late at night w/my g-friend and was having a bit of fun by flashing the high beams in rhythm to some music and voila - I blew drivers side light. Glass was ALL OVER the inside of the light. I ended up replacing the bulb w/OEM and have not had a problem. I also suggest to NOT tough the bulb w/anything - just be patient when installing it.
