may be a dumb question, but I cant figure out, even after looking through lots of pics..will a manual console fit on an automatic?...are the manual and auto shift area the same for the consoles?...or are they different?...im doing a brown to black swap, I have a 98 auto and im trying to figure out if I can buy the console that was on a stick...thanks for any info...and no flamers!

 

the auto shifter is more narrow. I'm doing a 5spd swap, and it's kind of hard to find a woodgrain manual shifter trim. Maybe you can fit the manual into the auto shifter trim, if you get an STS. You should ask Broaner, he has experience with that.

 

Well, why not just use the black trim piece from the automatic? The console is the same but the shifter trim is different.
