take it to a car wash and have them stean clean the bottom of the motor, if its still leaking after that then bring it to them and have them fix the problem. itll be alot easier to see which seal they screwed up once it's clean.

Wow, there's an expression for that, it's called throwing money at a problem.

Anyway, there are lots of things that repair shops cheese-out on, and they tend to be every-day stuff, like not bleeding all 4 calipers, not putting in synth oil when you pay for it, not flushing the coolant, only draining and refill, etc. These are known rip-offs by the auto industry.

But a leak is cut and dry. If it's residue, you'll see it in the places you mention. But a leak is constant--you wipe off residue, and there will still be drips on the floor given time. All these people in the thread bashing dealerships doesn't help your situation. Carefully make sure your garage floor or parking spot is clean--drive and then let the car sit and see if anything drips out onto the floor. Worst case, tell the dealership you're not comfortable and you need a better explanation. Good luck.

you can have extra oil "leak" after a leak is fixed. but it should only leak for a few heat cycles. It is the extra oil that is left clinging to wherever on the motor. If it keeps "leaking" for more than a day or two go back.
