help identifying leaks...

This one is at the tranny (the oil pan is on the right). The leak is not dripping, but it is accumumlating dirt and grease (in the pic. it is in the "shadow" looking area.) Is it common?:



This one is at the angle CPS sensor. Could it be the front main as well?:

Rear main seep... most of us have had it. vqpower.com has a good write up on it.

Check both your valve covers (bottomside), do they show the same signs? If yes, you got leaks coming from there which is trickling down towards below. That's another normal thing that happens to a max especially those close to 10 years old.

I'm replacing the rear main seal on mine tomorrow, the leak on mine is soaking the clutch with motor oil. I'd say the clutch is toast too so I'm putting in new clutch, cover, bearing, and bushing.

I have some leaking around that area too. I'm not sure if the same problem. I haven't had a change to fix it yet. Here's a picture if
