I got mine from Courtesy for my 97 GLE for $176. That was both of them and everything needed to install.

Which dealer did you go to? Where?

222 for each fog light? 444 for the pair? WOW! I got mine for about $200 at my dealer (Koeppel Nissan in NYC).

What tires do you currently have? If you have the stock GLE tires they won't fit the SE rims. The GLE has 15 inch rims and tires while the SE has 16 inch rims and tires (OEM).

Actually the 95 & 96 SE has 15" rims. The 97-99 SE has 16" rims. The original statement was "4th generation SE rims". But, I would also assume he wants the 16" 5-spokes, not the 15".

Basically, if your GLE has 15" rims, your tires would fit on the 95-96 SE rim, but not the 97-99 SE rim. You would need 16" tires for the 16" rims. You would most likely want one of these sizes, 215/55-16, 225/55-16, or 225/50-16.

If you want the 95-96 SE rims, I have a set I might be willing to sell.

I might sell my stock fog housing, because i keep blowing superwhites, because they burn too hot. This doesn't affect the housing though. I will probably go with PIAAs or something like that....

your local dealer might've been pricing the part to you as a replacement and not an accesory kit. as a replacement, they do cost more, as even at Courtesy Nissan, I believe a replacement for ONE that a rock hit on my car was like $90 or $108 or something like that. i was tempted to buy the whole kit, that way if my other one ever broke, i already had it... ended getting one at a wrecking yard... don't remember how much i paid though...
