Do your fog lights go out with high beams on?

Just happened to notice this when I had my high beams on so that I could get out of the car to see something outside the house. My stuff has been pulled apart before, though, when I had a short that kept blowing the fuse to my instrument cluster lights and the tails. Just making sure they didn't put something back together wrong.

From the factory...yes it's supposed to do that. Mine are re-wired to the corner lights - therefore making them stay on w/ hi-beams....but now that I have HIDs there is no hi beam.

Yes, it is supposed to do that. Some people re-wire. I don't see the point of re-wiring. All you need to so is move your high-beam steering staulk into the middle postion and both work fine.

haha, yeah and then if you do it just right, you can get your left fog on and the right hi-beam! looks really great!

i was in the same boat, when i had HIDs, i thought that they were bright enough and i didnt need hi-beams, but after driving through hills and winding roads, i realized how much i needed the hi-beams..im back to halogen now, and did the 9007 bulb swap and seems like the output of light was better than my HIDs..btw: i had 8000K HIDs.

if your fogs are factory or are wired into the factory harness they will go out when you put your highbeams on there is a mod in the 4th gen mods forum that i believe shows you how to tap into the wires so that lour fogs will always stay on. if you have aftermarket fogs and have them wired to a switch that you installed it depends on how you wired your fogs.
