Widest rim I can fit in the wheel well?
Widest rim I can fit in the wheel well?
I know the factory are steelies are 15x7.5
What is the widest rim I can fit in it without it sticking out of the wheel well and looking totally
?
Basically I found a set of rims that I would really like but they are 18x8.5.
I don't want the Max looking like something off of Pimp My Ride.
What's the widest I can go?
These are the rims I want.
Thanks!

Stock steelies are 15 x 6. Stock Sawblades are 15 x 6.5. Not sure about the Honeycombs. The stock 2001, '02 and '03 SE wheels are 17 x 7.5's. From what I hear 17 x 8.5's will fit but I think that's really pushin it, I'm in the market for 17 x 8's myself.

dude those axis rims look hot, if everyone says the will fit i def say go for them.
Since I was getting 18x8.5 rims I was thinking of getting 245/40/18 tires. I know they will rub a little at full rotation of the steering wheel. I'm more concerned that they will rub the wheel well if I hit a bump. Any of you have that size? If so, do you have any problems?
BTW: I have a 2" drop (crappy DZ springs), but I have 5 way adjustable Tokico's to make up for it.

Why the hell are some of you guys putting wider rims in the rear? That makes no sense.
I've personally seen a Max with 10" wide rims, and it stuck out way too far. I bet 9.5" would look awkward to. I bet 8.5" wide would look the best.

I'm not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but those rims almost make it look like you have whitewalls on your ride. Please Lord say it isn't so.
^^^^^^ yes it looks good, but i dont see why there is a reason for it. looks? it would look equally ill if they were the same width in my opinion. im not knocking, cuz it does look really sweet, im just trying to understand. what would be cool is to put 9.5s front and rear. then you get the deep dish look all around
