IS it worth Dropping This Ride!!!
hey guys,
Very interested in YOUR feedback. This is the pic of my ride below. I am live in NJ. This kit is a fiber glass and currently at a stock height. I was wondering if anyone who has this kit and lives in NJ or can give general feedback on whether it's worth dropping it.
Thanks

he isnt askin if it will look good getting it dropped.. he's asking if its worth it for NJ drivers (i dono what the road conditions in NJ are)... Honestly though it's all up to you.. Any car thats dropped and hits a pot hole some part of the front or rear bumper will most likely get scraped.. so if you're willing to risk a bit of body damage or if you think you're good of a driver.. then go for it... but if you dont wanna risk it.. i'd suggest you not to

drop that biotch, it'll look 10x better. I live in PA near philly and our street aren't close to good and I'm dropped on s-techs with no real problems with scraping or anything like that.

a kit will make your car even closer to the groud, if you have a kit it would be best to stay away from 2" drops, unless you know everywhere you drive is a smooth level surface with no major hills or bumps. a 1.5 or 1.7" drop will give you the look of a 2" drop but a little more clerance.

If you want to drop it, go with Tein h tech because it is a mild drop. If you can afford it, get 19z too. I would probably be looking for the urethane version of that front if I were you.

if u have uneven roads and you are on a large drop 1.6+ you would have to be extra carefull not to dammage the bumper. i think h-techs would be a nice drop, and its a comforable ride from what everyone says. dont do it on stock struts tho, get aftermarket struts so you dont risk blowing out.

i've always debated to either drop the car or buy a body kit. but now that i have an i30, the body kit's don't really look that good so i just dropped mine. i dunno exactly where u are in nj. but the parkway n turnpike are fine. just when you go into newark, n where i live, its not a good idea. if you want, i'd say get coilovers. when you go down to the beach n wanna show off or something, slam it. when you're gonna drive it normally, raise it. i know its a pain in the butt to raise it n lower it and everything. but if this is gonna be an everday driver for you, i'd say get coilovers or don't drop it. think about when it snows. your car WILL NOT be able to drive anywhere. if you have money, get hydrolics, that way u can raise n lower ur car with a button...

I think cars look ugliest when not droped with kit. If you dont want to lower it because of NJ roads, then take off the bumper and put the stock back on then lower it.
I dont know about you, but i drive through Los Angeles everyday and i dont think there is any place worst than LA.
