Transmission wont change gears

For the past couple of months, my car has been misfiring a lot. My mechanic told me to replace my Y-pipe (which was budget) and so I did. Afterwards, my car run fine. However, my transmission wont change gears. its permanently stuck in either second or third. Its not first because I have absolutely no power from stop, and around 70-75, its reaching close to 4k RPMS. i've tried forcing the shift and turning on O/D, but it doesn't work. Do you think that the ppl that changed my pipe accidently hit something? is it easily fixable or am i screwed. the car only has < 80k miles.

Grease Monkey is the same as jiffy lube.

but yea, i pulled 3 codes, i dont remember two of them, but the one im most concered was 600. It said something like "Serial Link Malfunction" Would this possibly mean that there's an electrical issue? I really couldn't think of anything else other than something got knocked loose. I mean this happened RIGHT after i changed my y-pipe back to stock.

Did you really have to google that?

I've known that since I was old enough to know what a car was ....

I meant for the slang term - as long as you already knew that the "grease Monkey" was slang for mechanic .... I was worried there for a minute

The Y pipe wasn't the cause of your misfire.

Why did you replace the y-pipe? How old was it? Was it stainless steel? What was the condition of the flex section?
