Trans problem i think? Help!
Lately my car has been very loud when driving. This only happens sometimes, like when I've just come out of reverse or after I've stopped at a red light and take off again. The noise appears to be coming from the tires(road noise). Also, when I step on the gas, exceleration is not immediate, and when I take my foot off the gas the car feels like it's drastically slowing down but it doesn't feel like down shifting(almost like driving in second gear at 40 miles per hour and then taking your foot off the gas). Also, the gas pedal feels a little harder to press I try to excelerate. My car is an auto. Again this doesn't happen all the time. Maybe once a day, sometimes never. Has anybody else experienced this or know what it is? I appreciate the help.

Sounds like an odd problem. When last has your tranny fluid been changed? Sounds like maybe a selenoid maybe on its way out. I believe you'll pull a code for that. Offering some suggestion I'm not the best with auto trannies but a selenoid sounds like it aybe be the problem.

I think you need to explain a little more detail, but from the sounds if it it;s normal... tires road noise , or is it gear whine ... when its deceleratiing what gear is it in? (RPM vs speed)?

RPM's and speed are just fine. For instance when I'm going down the highway at about 65 the car reads(RPM and speed)as if there is no problem. By the way the tires are new all around. It just sounds as though something is rubbing or grinding and it gets louder the faster I go. I can also feel it in the pedal(vibration). Then I'll stop at a stop sign or something-start driving again and then nothing til a day later. Strange.?
