Knock Sensor put in and reset, pulled code again?

Put in yet ANOTHER knock sensor, yes used just as the first replacement, and this makes 2 that have not worked yet. This one lasted longer, however- I was able to drive for about an hour before I pulled the CEL.

Does anyone know what in the hell is going on with my KS? I cleaned the KS ground and checked the wires, it looks good. Could it be my ECU? Wiring harness?

Please someone point me in the right direction for the next action to take.

Why do you keep buying used KS? These are fragile parts and not one I would buy used. You can pick up a new one for 79 bucks from pinnacle nissan - whats the point of buying used? You have no baseline - so its impossible to determine what the problem is (sensor, harness, ground, etc.).

Lot's of dealerships sell KS w/a sub-harness(i.e. Courtesy Nissan). This is a KS specific harness.
Depending on how many miles are on your car, or how close the wire is to your block,
you might have a short in that harness.

Good Luck

After reading several posts and such items I've almost come to the conclusion that the KS code can come even if the KS is not bad, due to EGR valve gunk and so on. Even O2 codes seem to be "ghost" codes at times apparently? Anyway, my question is if you actually tested the KS with a meter. I have the same code but am going to meter the KS during my EGR cleaning and see what's up...
